Welcome to Lazy D Farm, a family farm located in Ball Ground, Georgia. We currently raise Jacob sheep but also have Boer goats and Angora rabbits.
We are scheduling classes for 2012 for Rigid Heddle Weaving, Spinning and Felting.
Bring the Family for a great educational experience to the farm. We host our annual “Sheep to Shawl” event in April. Sheep to Shawl for 2012 will be held April 14, 2011, so mark your calendar. We invite you to come see our sheep get their annual haircut -sheared. Randy will be back this year to shear beginning at 10:30 - 1:00. Step back in time with Members of the Appalachian Heritage Guild demonstrating old time skills and lifestyles of the Southern Appalachian culture along with historical artifacts for educational purposes. See our Image Gallery for past Sheep To Shawl pictures.
